• Four (4) fully ADA accessible rooms. Two 2 Queen Bed guest rooms. And two 2 Bedroom Family rooms.  All rooms are at ground level. All rooms are available to book online or by phone.
• Our lobby, check-in, breakfast and common areas are entirely wheelchair accessible.
• Seasonal Outdoor pool is accessible and has powered lift.

Parking & Transportation

• Accessible self-parking is in front of all rooms.
• Main entrance and lobby are wheelchair/mobility device accessible with covered area to pull up.
• Wheelchair/mobility device accessible registration desk located in the main lobby.

ADA-Accessible Guest Room Features

• Compliant guest room bathroom facilities with 35” inch wide door frame.
• All rooms have grab bars and benches.
• Wheelchair accessible doors, closets, and sinks
• Compliant clear space throughout guest rooms

All Guests Room Have the Following Communication Features Standard or by Request:

• Visual fire/smoke alarm.
• TTY telephone.
• Handset Amplifier on request.
• First floor access with pull up the room parking.

Digital Partner Commitment

Bar Harbor Motel sources TravelClick’s iHotelier booking engine for digital room reservation transactions. We are proud to partner with TravelClick as they have also committed to digital accessibility and have taken steps to be compliant with the current standards. The iHotelier Booking Engine can be accessed by “JAWS”, the most widely-used screen reader used by those who are visually impaired. TravelClick continues to improve the booking platform to comply with WCAG level AA standards.

Taking Action & Ongoing Efforts

Bar Harbor Motel is implementing the necessary changes to make our site accessible to everyone including anyone using a screen reader, magnifier, voice recognition software, captions, alternative text and other assistive devices. We are working diligently to make these updates in a timely fashion and will continuously audit and update our site.
